IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal

IV therapy practice session at iCare Nursing Arts.

This course  is approved by the Board of Vocational Nursing (BVNPT) and is suitable for continuing education hours for LVNs.
This IV Therapy & BW course is 36 hours course led by experienced RN, it provides classroom instruction and practice skills on proper IV insertion technique including "hard stick" vein. 


The theory portion of this course will provide you with the knowledge regarding proper administration of intravenous fluids with emphasis on fluid and electrolyte balance and imbalance, indications for the use of intravenous therapy, use of equipment, how to determine the correct size needle and tubing, legal aspect of nursing practice regarding IV therapy, governing bodies that regulates IV therapy, and so much more.

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse

  • Registered Nurse

Class Days & Hours:

Fri, Sat. & Sun (8 am to 8 pm) = 12 hrs/day = 36 hours
Fri, Sat. Sun. & Mon (8am to 5pm) 9hrs/day = 36 hours

Our Policies

Cancellation Policy
 

  • We give NO refund for any cancellation.

  • However, students may re-schedule their class.

No Call / No Show Policy

  • Students must notify us via email at least 24 hours prior to course date to re-schedule their course.

  • Failure to show on a course date without prior notice will result in forfeiture of all fees paid.

  • Arriving 15 minutes late is considered a no-show without notice and will be treated as a cancellation.

One-Time Reschedule Policy

​Students may reschedule once, at least 2 days prior to their original course date.

Only one reschedule is allowed — no exceptions.

Please email us to reschedule, phone rescheduling will NOT be accepted, no exemption.
